The Coach Travel Group Supports Major Transport Operation for Loungers Event

The Coach Travel Group (CTG) successfully played a key role in delivering a large-scale transport operation for a major Loungers event, coordinating coaches, operators and logistics to ensure guests travelled safely and efficiently. 

Working in partnership with Zeelo, CTG was responsible for planning and managing transport arrangements, including coordinating pick-up locations, scheduling and operational logistics. Despite a significant number of changes being made right up until the week of the event, the team ensured every amendment was accommodated, resulting in a seamless delivery on the day. 

The operation brought together nine CTG depots and 43 operators from across the Group's network, highlighting the scale and collaborative strength of CTG's nationwide capabilities. A total of 30 coaches were deployed through CTG, supporting the wider transport programme involving 144 coaches. 

One of the biggest considerations leading up to the event was the potential impact of adverse weather conditions. A comprehensive wet weather contingency plan was developed and implemented to ensure the operation could continue smoothly if required. 

Fortunately, favourable weather conditions meant the contingency measures were not fully needed, but having robust plans in place provided reassurance for both organisers and passengers. 

The success of the operation was underpinned by strong collaboration across multiple teams within The Coach Travel Group.
