Under the new shared service arrangement, Johnsons Coaches’ operations team will manage emergency out-of-hours enquiries and provide driver support on behalf of Barnes Coaches. The collaboration is designed to strengthen operational resilience and ensure reliable, round-the-clock assistance when it is needed most.

The initiative forms part of The Coach Travel Group’s wider commitment to collaboration, operational excellence, and shared expertise across its operating companies.

Ashley Brown, Managing Director of Johnsons Coaches, said:

“We are very pleased to be supporting Barnes Coaches through this shared service arrangement. Out-of-hours operational support is a vital part of delivering reliable transport services, and this collaboration strengthens resilience while improving access to experienced operational support when it is needed most.

The coach industry works best when operators support one another, and we are proud to be working closely with Barnes Coaches as part of that approach.”

The partnership highlights the growing importance of collaborative operational models within the sector, enabling operators to enhance customer communication, improve emergency response capability, and provide consistent support for drivers beyond standard office hours.
