The Coach Travel Group Shortlisted for Best Transport Provider at the 2026 British Youth Travel Awards
16th October 2026
The Coach Travel Group has been named a finalist in the Best Transport Provider category at the 2026 British Youth Travel Awards, marking a proud moment for colleagues across its network.
The awards celebrate organisations making a difference across youth, student and educational travel. The shortlisting recognises the teams supporting these journeys and helping organisers deliver memorable experiences for young people.
The Coach Travel Group combines local knowledge with wider operational support to meet the needs of education and youth groups. From day visits to residential trips, teams plan transport around passenger numbers, collection points and itineraries.
Drivers, booking teams, planners and operational staff all contribute to the service customers receive, from the first enquiry through to the return journey.
Safety is central to the group’s education transport offering. Across operators using Samsara telematics, teams review driving events such as harsh braking and speeding to support driver feedback and improvement. AI-enabled cameras can also help identify signs of driver drowsiness, providing additional support on longer journeys.
Driver DBS checks and licence checking processes support safeguarding and professional standards. A range of vehicle sizes accommodates different group requirements, while coordinated routes and timings help organisers plan confidently and keep young passengers’ needs at the centre of each journey.
Matt Hobbs, Commercial Director at The Coach Travel Group said:
“Being shortlisted for Best Transport Provider at the British Youth Travel Awards is something our whole team can be proud of. It recognises our colleagues’ dedication and the care they bring to supporting young passengers and their organisers.
“We understand the planning behind an educational visit, and our teams work hard to make transport arrangements straightforward, helping young people access new places, experiences and opportunities.
“This recognition belongs to the people delivering that service every day. We thank them, alongside our customers and partners, for their continued support.”
The shortlisting comes as The Coach Travel Group develops relationships within education travel, including its recently announced partnership with JCA Adventure. This gives education organisers travelling with JCA Adventure an additional contact for coach transport, with bookings made directly with The Coach Travel Group.
The winners will be announced on Monday 30 November at The Underglobe, Shakespeare’s Globe, London, bringing together finalists from across youth, student and educational travel.
