The Coach Travel Group (CTG) has announced the strategic repositioning of the The Kings Ferry brand as its dedicated national key accounts and large-scale events transport division.

The Kings Ferry joined the CTG portfolio in October 2025. It has now been repositioned to sit at the centre of the group’s national coordination model, focusing on the delivery of scalable, high-quality transport solutions for large scale events across the UK.

Under the new structure, The Kings Ferry operates as a central management hub, with all work coordinated through a single, unified system and delivered via CTG’s network of group operators alongside a trusted base of UK partner operators. This approach enables each movement to be allocated to the most appropriate vehicles and resources, ensuring efficiency and flexibility.

By integrating The Kings Ferry into the wider group structure this way, CTG is able to offer true national coverage supported by strong local delivery. The Kings Ferry can scale capacity quickly to meet demand, while maintaining robust quality control and cost efficiency.

The repositioning further strengthens CTG’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale transport solutions through centralised coordination and a single point of contact. Supported by a unified operational platform and nationwide operator network, the model combines the reach of a national organisation with the reliability and expertise of local operators.

Commenting on the repositioning, Matt Hobbs, Director of Group Commercial at The Coach Travel Group, says:

“Repositioning The Kings Ferry was a key step in how we evolve as a group. We are seeing increasing demand for coordinated, large-scale transport solutions, particularly across events, venues and national contracts. By placing The Kings Ferry at the centre of our model we are creating a clear, dedicated function that brings together our network and systems.

This gives our customers a single, trusted point of contact, backed by the scale and capability of the wider group. It allows us to be more agile and better equipped to deliver complex movements at a national level.”

The move forms part of CTG’s wider strategy to enhance collaboration across its operator network and establish specialist functions that support national growth, operational efficiency, and long-term resilience.

The Kings Ferry will continue to focus on meetings and events transport at scale, reinforcing CTG’s commitment to delivering integrated, reliable solutions for complex logistics requirements across the UK.
