The Coach Travel Group demonstrates the power of collaboration through shared fleet support
27th October 2026
Operators across The Coach Travel Group have joined forces to support Johnsons Coaches, demonstrating how collaboration across the Group helps maintain operational capacity and deliver reliable services for customers.
The Coach Travel Group (CTG) is demonstrating the strength of its nationwide network, with vehicles from four of its operators currently supporting Johnsons Coaches in the Midlands.
With additional capacity required to fulfil contract commitments and maintain services while vehicles undergo maintenance and repairs, operators from across the Group have stepped in to provide additional fleet support.
The support includes two vehicles from Horseman Coaches, three from The Kings Ferry, one from Turbostyle and one from Readybus. The vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz, VDL double-deckers and Volvo Plaxton coaches, are currently based at Johnsons' depot to provide additional operational flexibility.
This collaborative approach enables Johnsons to maintain its service commitments, minimise disruption and continue delivering the high standards customers expect.
Collaboration is one of The Coach Travel Group's core values and sharing vehicles and resources between operators is a practical example of how being part of a larger organisation delivers real operational benefits.
While each operator retains its own local identity and customer relationships, being part of CTG provides access to a wider network of vehicles, expertise and operational support.
Matt Hobbs, Commercial Director at The Coach Travel Group, said:
"One of the greatest strengths of The Coach Travel Group is the ability of our operators to work together and support one another.
"This is a fantastic example of collaboration in action. By bringing together vehicles from different businesses across the Group, we've been able to provide Johnsons with the additional capacity needed to maintain its services and minimise disruption for customers.
"Individually, our operators are strong local businesses, but collectively, we have the resources and flexibility to respond to operational challenges in a way that wouldn't always be possible independently."
The latest support at Johnsons highlights how CTG's scale and geographical reach provide practical solutions to operational challenges, helping its businesses maintain service continuity and deliver reliable transport services across the UK.
