Barnes Coaches Prepares to Transport More Than 2,450 Passengers to Young Voices 2027

29th October 2026

Barnes

Barnes Coaches, part of The Coach Travel Group, is preparing to transport more than 2,450 pupils, teachers and supporters to Young Voices concerts during January and February 2027, marking one of the largest education transport operations in its calendar.

Schools across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire will travel with Barnes Coaches to take part in the children’s choir event, giving pupils the opportunity to perform alongside thousands of other young voices at major UK venues.

Around 1,800 passengers are expected to travel to bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham, with a further 650 heading to The O2 in London. For the pupils involved, the concerts offer an exciting opportunity to celebrate their preparation and rehearsals through a shared musical experience beyond the classroom.

Supporting schools beyond the classroom

Barnes Coaches is delighted to once again support schools attending Young Voices, recognising the value of experiences that allow young people to develop their confidence, explore their interests and take part in something together.

Transport is an important part of making these opportunities possible. For teachers and organisers, arranging travel for a large group adds another consideration to an already busy programme of rehearsals, communications and event preparations.

By providing safe, reliable and affordable transport, Barnes Coaches aims to help schools manage these arrangements with confidence. To support this, the coach hire team is honouring its 2026 rates for Young Voices 2027, helping to keep travel costs down for participating schools.

Preparing for a major education transport operation

With more than 2,450 passengers set to travel across the concert period, preparation and coordination will be central to the operation.

Supporting multiple schools travelling to two major venues requires careful planning around passenger numbers, collection points, arrival times and return journeys. Close communication with school organisers helps ensure that transport arrangements reflect the requirements of each group and the schedule of their concert.

Behind these journeys are the booking teams, operational colleagues and drivers who bring the plans together. Their combined contribution helps schools focus on the occasion, knowing that their transport has been carefully considered.

The operation also highlights the role coach travel plays in bringing education groups to large events. Travelling together allows schools to coordinate their group’s arrival and departure while making the journey part of the wider experience.

Local relationships within The Coach Travel Group

Barnes Coaches’ involvement in Young Voices reflects the established relationships its team maintains with schools across the four counties it serves.

As part of The Coach Travel Group, Barnes Coaches contributes local knowledge, operational experience and an understanding of its customers’ needs to the wider network. These individual strengths, shared across the Group’s operators, help shape The Coach Travel Group and the services it provides.

Supporting events such as Young Voices demonstrates how those local relationships translate into meaningful opportunities for passengers, connecting schools and communities with experiences further afield.

As January approaches, Barnes Coaches is proud to be preparing for another year of Young Voices, helping pupils, teachers and supporters enjoy a memorable occasion through safe, reliable and affordable coach travel.
